ACORD End User License for PIA Members

Program Summary

In 2020, ACORD began requiring that all ACORD forms end users—such as independent agents—must obtain an ACORD forms license to use their forms, regardless of how they access those forms. ACORD charges a fee for these licenses. PIA has negotiated two deals with ACORD to save PIA members money on this fee:

  1. Program 1: For PIA members who access forms through an entity that is licensed to redistribute ACORD forms, such as most agency management systemsand the AVYST eForms Wizard, the license is now FREE if your agency's gross revenue is under $50 million.
  2. Program 2: For PIA members who would like to access forms directly through ACORD, PIA has negotiated a $20 discount on ACORD’s Advantage Plus Program if your gross revenue is under $1 million.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Program 1: For PIA members who access ACORD forms through an entity that is licensed to redistribute ACORD forms, such as most agency management systems and the AVYST eForms Wizard, the license is now FREE if your gross revenue is under $50 million.

If this applies to you, please follow these steps to obtain your free license:

  1. PIA Membership Verification: To avoid being charged an annual license fee by ACORD, please email membership@pianational.org requesting that PIA verify your PIA membership with ACORD. If PIA verified your membership in 2020 and your membership has not lapsed, you do not need to contact PIA; we will automatically re-confirm your membership status with ACORD for 2021.
  2. Claim your ACORD Forms EULA:
    1. When completing the licensing process, ACORD recommends agents use Google Chrome.
    2. Go to the ACORD website and create a website profile.
    3. Next, go to ACORD's Forms Subscriptions & Licensing web page for details about the PIA Forms End User License discount program and to confirm that you are eligible.
    4. Finally, go to ACORD's Forms End User Licenses web page to access and accept the end user license agreement. When you click “ACCEPT” and a PDF of the license appears, you are done.

Program 2: For PIA members who would like to access forms directly through ACORD, PIA has negotiated a $20 discount on ACORD’s Advantage Plus Program if your gross revenue is under $1 million.
