Bill to Repeal FIO Reintroduced in SenateMay 24, 2023
PIA is pleased by the reintroduction on May 18 of one of our top priorities for 2023, S. 1694 the “Federal Insurance Office Abolishment Act” by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). The bill will protect the successful state insurance regulatory system by repealing the FIO, an unnecessary federal bureaucracy created by the 2010 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank). -
