The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) is pleased to announce the promotion of two members of its team to key leadership positions within the organization. Dana Anaman has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Jon Gentile was named Chief Public Affairs and Advocacy Officer.

“PIA is fortunate to have these two leaders ready to step up to help lead the association,” said Rich Savino, PIA National President. “Dana and Jon have been integral members of the PIA team for years. I am excited to witness their dedication and innovation as they advance into these new roles and eagerly anticipate collaborating with them to sustain PIA’s success in serving our members and the insurance industry," Savino said.

Dana Anaman currently serves dual roles as Managing Executive Director of PIA of Florida and Vice President, Membership & Affiliate Services of PIA National.  In her new capacity as COO, Anaman will oversee the day-to-day operations of the association, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

Anaman joined PIA in 2017. She has worked in the association space for over 15 years, focusing on marketing, membership, and community management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Radford University, an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).

Jon Gentile currently serves as Vice President of Government Relations. He has led PIA’s Capitol Hill advocacy efforts since 2014. His new position marks the establishment of a public affairs department within the organization. Gentile will expand his role to encompass oversight of PIA’s federal legislative advocacy, communications, federal regulatory affairs, and state government relations efforts.

Gentile has worked in federal government relations for nearly 20 years. In addition to his role at PIA, Gentile also holds the position of President at the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics (NILE). He has a bachelor’s degree in politics and a master’s degree in international affairs from the Catholic University of America.

Both Anaman and Gentile expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to take on these challenging roles and their dedication to driving PIA’s mission forward.

“I am honored to be entrusted with this new responsibility and look forward to working closely with this incredible team we have at PIA to achieve our shared goals," said Anaman.

“I am excited to partner with my outstanding colleagues to strengthen PIA's Public Affairs engagement,” said Gentile. “It is a privilege to work on behalf of PIA members on issues that have a real impact on agents across the country.”
