Rick Pierce Named Chair of PIA’s Carrier Council

National General executive to lead PIA Partnership which brings together agents and carriers to strengthen and grow the independent agency system

Washington, D.C. — [June 24, 2025] — The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) announced that Rick Pierce, CPCU, AAI Director – Agency Engagement and Development at National General Insurance, an Allstate company, has been appointed Chair of The PIA Partnership, the association’s carrier council. Members include representatives from leading national and regional carriers. Pierce will serve a one-year term through June 2026, succeeding outgoing Chair Brad McCreedy of The Hanover Insurance Group.

The PIA Partnership is an advisory board that creates hands-on tools, resources, and real-time solutions to help agents grow and succeed. The group—which has been in place nearly 30 years—has launched a variety of innovative programs for agents, including Thinking Bigger, a series of video interviews to spark new ideas, Winning@Talent, to help agents recruit, hire, and motivate employees, and Winning@Work to improve culture to attract Gen Z and millennial agents. The programs are created to give agents the strategic edge to grow, retain clients, and plan for the future.

Pierce has decades of industry leadership, extensive experience in agency distribution, and a long-standing commitment to supporting the independent agency system. As Chair, he will guide the Partnership’s direction and ensure its work continues to focus on delivering meaningful impact for agents and their carrier partners.
