- Active Member (A1): The first member who joins the Association from each agency or brokerage company. President/Agency owner, independent producer, authorized representative. All employees of the agency are entitled to PIA National and local member benefits and services. $350/year
- Active Additional Agency Staff (A2): An employee of agency or company licensed by the SCO. Includes local PIA benefits and the right to vote in assembly. $225/year

In collaboration with the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA), founded in 1931, the insurance designation is based on industry sales and approved by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner of Puerto Rico.
